Program Description
The Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) is the congestion management agency and transportation sales tax authority of Marin County. It was established by Marin County voters to support transportation infrastructure projects and programs that make getting around the County easier, cleaner, and safer.
Executive Director Richmond provides an update on Marin County’s major transportation projects including the Highway 37 Corridor, the Northbound US-101 to Eastbound I-580 Multimodal and Local Access Project, the Marin-Sonoma Narrows Highway improvements, and other projects of interest.
Derek McGill provides an overview of the development of Marin County’s first Countywide Transportation Plan and the opportunity for public input.
Speaker Bios
Anne Richman is the Executive Director of the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM). She was appointed Executive Director of TAM in September 2019, after serving as the Director of Programming & Allocations at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). She has diverse experience in policy development, project and program management, and forging strong partnerships. Other past positions have included work for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, United Airlines, and the US Department of Transportation, as well as in private sector consulting. Anne has a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Derek McGill serves as the Director of Planning for the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) and is responsible for management of TAM’s planning activities, including short- and long-range planning efforts, program management and local and regional coordination on policy and projects. With over 15 years of public and private experience in long range and capital investment planning for infrastructure projects across California, Derek brings a multi-modal approach to delivering sustainable transportation solutions to Marin County.
